Rainn Wilson is an American actor, writer, comedian, director, producer who is popularly known for the character Dwight Schrute in the famous sitcom The Office. Rainn was born on 20 January in Seattle, Washington. Rainn spent a couple of years in Nicaragua with his father and stepmother but later shifted back to Seattle.
He went to the Kellogg Middle School and Shorecrest High School and completed his graduation from the New Trier High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in drama from the University of Washington. Rainn made his TV debut with an episode of One Life to Live.
His next project was a TV film The Expendables in which he was given a supporting role. He has also made guest appearances in the shows Saturday Night Live, Special Victims Unit, Dark Angel, Family Guy and Law & Order. In 1999, Rainn debuted in the film Galaxy Quest. In 2005, he was casted in the NBC sitcom The Office. His performance was highly appreciated and he remained in the show till 2013.
