Joe Montana, popularly known as Joe Cool and The Golden Great, is an American former football player. He was born on 11 June 1956 in New Eagle, Pennsylvania. At a very early age, his family shifted to Monongahela. He studied at the Waverly Elementary School, Finleyville Junior High School, and Ringgold High School. During his days in Ringgold, he was very active in sports and played baseball, basketball, and football.
Seeing his skills, he was offered scholarship and so, he went to attend University of Notre Dame. He won against the Pitt Panthers in 1978 and in 1979 against the Houston. Because of his outclass performance, a film Seven and a Half Minutes to Destiny was made as a tribute to him. he started playing with the San Francisco 49ers in 1979. Meanwhile, he had already ended his first marriage in 1977. He played 14 seasons with the 49ers and later was selected by the NFL. In 1981, he became a part of the NFL team and proved himself as a great player with his outstanding performance.
In 2000, he was added to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Currently, Joe is married to actress Jennifer Wallace. The couple has 4 kids together and is enjoying happy married life.
