Kelly Maria Ripa is an American actress, TV producer, journalist, dancer, and a host. She is well-known for her performance in the ABC sitcom Hope and Faith and soap All My Children. Born on 2 October 1970 in Stratford, New Jersey, Kelly’s father, Joseph Ripa was a bus driver and a labor union president while his mother, Esther Ripa was a housewife. Kelly’s sister Linda is an author.
While in school, Kelly used to be a cheerleader. It was his teacher Jim Boeckle who motivated her towards acting. She completed her graduation from the Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees Township, New Jersey. She also enrolled in the Camden County College but left soon to pursue her acting career. her first TV appearance was as a dancer in the show Dancin’ On Air in 1986. Her career rose to success with her performance in the soap All My Children where she played the role of Hayley Vaughn Santos.
She worked in the soap for 12 years and during these years she met her now husband, Ark Consuelos. After the soap, she was starred in the sitcom Hope and Faith. She also hosted the morning show Live with Regis and Kelly. She then continued to appear in various TV shows and films including Family Guy, Cheaper by the Dozen, The Knights of Prosperity, Fly Me to the Moon, Hannah Montana, American’s Housewife, and Riverdale.
