Bruce Buffer is a famous American UFC announcer and a businessman. He was born on 21 May 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is the grandson of the famous boxer Johnny Buff. While living in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania at the age of 13, Bruce first tried martial arts. 2 years later, he shifted to Malibu, California where he became friends to a couple of students of Chuck Norris.
Chuck Norris used to teach Tang Soo Doo, a Korean martial art. In his early twenties, Bruce started boxing but, he suffered second concussion due to which his doctor forbade him to play anymore. He then became the UFC announcer and earned success in this field. Bruce is well-known for using catchphrases. He has a signature move called the Buffer 180, in which he moves directly across the Octagon before spinning 180° and pointing to the corner which he is about to introduce.
He starts the show with his specific phrase: “Ladies and gentlemen, we… are… live…”. apart from the UFC announcer, he is also a popular poker player. He had played several matches with many players including Dan Henderson, and Randy Couture. He has also appeared on TV shows.
