Early Life of Michael Strahan
Michael Strahan was born to Louis Strahan and Gene Strahan on 21 November 1971 in Houston, Texas. Strahan was the youngest in his family, having 5 elder brothers and sisters. His father was a boxer with a 1-1 record against Ken Norton. He is the nephew of former football player Arthur Strahan. As his father was also an Army Major so at the age of 9, sue to his father’s posting Michael along with his whole family moved to Mannheim, West Germany.
He went to Westbury High School and later attended Mannheim American High School where he started playing football. He came back to Houston where he attended Westbury High School again and played football there as well.

Michael started playing football during his high school times. Although he was inexperienced at that time but his strong figure helped him understand the game quickly and improved his skills with time. Because of his skills, he was granted scholarship by the Texas Southern University. He later joined New York Giants and stayed with them for fourteen seasons. He joined the team in 1993 and in 1997 he recorded 14 sacks in a season. He was named First Team All-Pro by the Associated Press. The very next year, he broke his record racking up 15 sacks and made the record for the most sacks in s season.
In 2001, he again made the NFL record of 22.5 sacks in a single season. Michael had scored a total of 141.5 sacks in his entire career. After his retirement from football, he appeared as a football analyst at the Fox NFL Sunday. Terry Bradshaw, Jimmy Johnson, and Howie Long were also in the show as analysts.
In 2010, he hosted the show Live! With Regis and Kelly. Initially the show was hosted by Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin.
