Early Life of Evander Holyfield
Born on 19 October 1962 in Atmore, Albama, Evander was the youngest among 9 kids in the family. He was the only child from a different father. At a very young age, Evander moved to Atlanta, Georgia along with his family. Evander started boxing when he was 7 years old and Boys Club boxing tournament and by the time he turned 13. He had already qualified for Junior Olympics. He won the Southeastern Regional Championship at the age of 15.

In 1985, Evander married Paulette. Unfortunately, the marriage ended in 1991 and in 1996, Evander married Janice Itson. This marriage also ended up in divorce just after 4 years. Candi Smith was Evander’s third wife whom he married in 2003. This ended in 2012 and Evander did not marry anyone after this and is currently divorced. He has 11 kids from 6 women. Career
Evander’s career started at a very young age. In 1983, when he was just 20, he participated in the Pan American Games that took place in Caracas, Venezuela. He won a silver medal in the game which was indeed a big achievement for him at this level.
At the Summer Olympics in 1984 in Los Angeles, California, he also won a bronze medal in the Light Heavyweight division. Evander fought at the Lightweight Division against Lionel Byarm at Madison Square Garden and won in the sixth round.
