George Edward Foreman, popularly known as George Foreman, is a former American boxer who played for 18 years, from 1969 to 1997. He is also famous as the Olympics Gold medalist and has also won two-time world heavyweight championship. Apart from boxing, he is also an entrepreneur and author which add a big chunk to George Foreman net worth.

Early Life of George Foreman

George Foreman was born to Leroy Moorehead and Nancy Foreman on 10 January 1949 in Marshall, Texas. His parents divorced when he was still young and his mother married JD Foreman. George lived with his mother and stepfather in Houston, Texas. George’s mother had 6 more kids from his second marriage but his stepfather treated his kids and George equally. Because of his troublesome nature, George was often suspended from school. He left school when he was 15 and at the age of 16 joined Job Corps.

George moved to Pleasanton, California and wanted to start his career as a football player and play in the country’s top league. Later, he switched to boxing on the advice of his coach who noted that his skills in boxing are far better than in football. In 1971, George married Adrienne Calhoun. The marriage ended in 1974. George’s second marriage was with Cynthia Lewis in the year 1977. Sadly, this marriage ended just after two years. He then married Sharon Goodson. This marriage stayed from 1981 to 1982.

George married Andrea Skeete in 1982 which ended 3 years later in 1985. He married Mary Joan Martelly in 1985 and they both are still together. Career

in 1968, after winning a gold medal in the Olympics heavyweight division in Mexico City, George decided to adapt boxing as his professional career and went on to several training sessions.
