Queen Latifah, real name Dana Elaine Owens, is an American actress, singer, rapper, producer, and also a host. She was born on 18 March 1970 in Newark, New Jersey. She was just ten when her parents divorced.
She studied at the Essex Catholic Girls’ High School and completed her graduation from the Irvington High School. Latifah released her first single Wrath of My Madness in 1988. A year later she released her first album All Hall the Queen. Latifah has released 7 albums up till now including The Dana Owens Album and Order in the Court. In the year 1991, she made her film debut with the film Jungle Fever where she played the role a waitress.
This was just the start and soon Latifah was seen in a number of albums including Who’s the Man, Living Out Loud, The Bone Collector, Brown Sugar, The Country Bears, and Scary Movie 3. As a producer she has also a number of films. the films Beauty Shop, The Perfect Holiday, Just Wright, and Bringing Down the House are all produced by Queen Latifah.
