Jim Nantz, aged 58, was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on 17th of May, 1959. He grew up in New Orleans, Marlboro, Louisiana, New Jersey. He went to Marlboro High School. He was a player on the golf team and a co-captain in basketball team while in High School. He majored in broadcasting after he joined the University of Houston Texas. He played on the Houston Cougars men's golf team, rooming with future professional golfers. Sadly in 2008, Nantz’s father passed away after being diagnosed with an Alzheimer disease. Then after that, Nantz together with Methodist Hospital in Houston launched the Nantz National Alzheimer Center.
Nantz was previously Married to Ann-Lorraine Carlsen Nantz. They had a daughter, Caroline Nantz. They divorced in 2009. In 2012, June 9, he married Courtney Richards in Pebble Beach, California. Nantz and his wife welcomed a baby girl in 2014, in 2016 they welcomed another child, a boy named Jameson.
