Carmelo Anthony is an American NBA basketball player who plays for Portland Trail Blazers. The brilliant player was born on 29 May 1984 in Brooklyn. New York to parents, Carmelo Anthony Sr. and Mary Anthony. At the age of 2, Carmelo’s father died due to cancer and so, Carmelo was raised by his mother.
He went to the Towson Catholic High School and Syracuse University. He was selected as the third pick, after LeBron James and Darko Miličić, in the NBA draft. He played his first match on 29 October 2003 against San Antonio Spurs. He scored 12 points, and 3 assists. Carmelo stayed with the Denver Nuggets for seven years.
